Lead with empathy.

If one more person tries to sell me based on their credentials I just might lose it!

I’m @CommisChefChris I’ve been in the Culinary industry for 17 years & I love spending my time helping as many people as I can, whether it’s through advising on how I dealt with some of my own life challenges, or if it’s through Savor The Passion where I’m making ordering a Chef as easy as a pizza.

So, I get plenty of emails & messages from people offering to do this, that & the other to my web app, right…

Sell To Someone Or Sell To Noone.

I’m Commis Chef Chris Martin. I’ve been in the Culinary industry for 17 years and I love spending my time helping as many people as I can, whether it’s through advising on how I dealt with some of my own life challenges, or if it’s through SavorThePassion.com where I’m making ordering a Chef as easy as a pizza.

Fear. Results. Expectations. Desires.

Have you ever heard that if you try to sell to everyone you’ll end up selling to no one?

When it comes to sales not much could be more true.

Remember…

It's easier than you think.

FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS, THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY HAS BEEN FRAGMENTED BY PERSONAL CHEFS THAT COULD SET ANY PRICES THEY WANTED AND KEPT RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS.

I’m Commis Chef Chris Martin. I’ve been in the Culinary industry for 16 years and I love spending my time helping as many people as I can whether it's through advising on how I dealt with some of my own life challenges, or if it’s through SavorThePassion.com where I’m working to increase the quality of life of all that I can through the power of food.

A genius startup is turning this $218 billion Hospitality industry on its head. The company called Savor The Passion has figured out a way to offer a far superior…

Nail grilling duties this 4th of July.

We’ve all been there before.

Big celebration.

The whole family is here and hungry.

And you're working the grill.

This is why I know it'll always be back.

I was doing my daily FB posting today when I noticed, there was an unusually high number of people talking about how they've lost their passion for the kitchen.

I knew all too well how that feels.

Aren’t You.?

Photo by Zac Durant on Unsplash

I'm sitting at my kitchen table working on Savor The Passion and just realizing… I'm tired. Not physically. Perhaps spiritually. Im tired of lacking self-actualization in the places just outside of my grasp.

Well now I'm looking at it. Its not pretty, but its going to do the thing…soon.

All I know is: right now. Im tired of not having my family time, my baby (fellow Founders know what Im talking about), my toys, my life.

Sometimes we just gotta chat

Photo by Balazs Busznyak on Unsplash

I'm sitting here having a rough go of it today. My body is aching from practice…two days ago. Still fuming from someone that went too far.

I haven't felt that productive lately. probably because I haven't been very productive. I'm somewhat procrastinating but always making progress. Maybe not all of the progress but a decent amount and yet, I feel almost worthless.

I'm not sure what's bringing me to share my thoughts feelings and emotions in this fashion but something says to do so and so here we are. who knows if it will ever…

What has changed.

Photo by Clay Banks on Unsplash

May 25th, 2020. In a year that was already challenging my home state of Minnesota was faced with a whole new challenge that was also so very familiar: a now-former policeman murdered George Floyd.

As always this action caused a great outcome however none anticipated it would become the movement it has. We've seen changes in business culture and societal changes, yet still no legislative changes to solve a fundamentally broken system.

I’m Chef Chris Martin. I'm lucky enough to be healthy. I'm happy. I'm self-educated. I'm pro-freedom. I lost the person I most strongly related to…

And a few shoulds.

One question I get asked all the time to share with aspiring Chefs is what they need to do to become Chef themselves. (If you haven't read my “Secrets of a Chef” series yet that's a great spot to get some insights into what I believe it takes to become a Chef. That series is always growing and I'm open to additions; if you got one please comment below.)

There's a world of attributes and tasks a person must have and should strive to master before they can be a Chef in my book, but this…

How the pandemic changed my life.

Photo by Sharon McCutcheon on Unsplash

First and foremost, I’d like to give my sincerest heartfelt apology to anyone and everyone who lost their lives to this pandemic and their loved ones. It very likely was none of your fault, and for that, I apologize.

So here's the deal. Has this pandemic been one of the worst events in most of our lives? Without a doubt. That said, from the beginning, I was always the type that has been looking for the best in this situation and I truly believe that I have. …
